Easy to dial in but might have some pigment issues

This was my first experience with Fusion HTPLA+ filament. It printed well as far as overhangs, layer lines etc. Although it had some issues with dark specks\spots in the print that looked like debris or maybe some small particles of the pigment. Didn't ruin the print by any means, but didn't look the greatest either. Besides the specks in the print, there were groups of layers that appeared a bit darker than others. Almost like there was a bit more pigment in that length of filament. I looked at the filament on the spool after I noticed the spots in print and seen what I thought was some kind of dust. However after trying to blow it off with can air and the trying to wipe it off I realized that it was specks in the filament itself. If this filament was used for a business I wouldn't be willing to send the print to the customer with the way it looked. I have better hopes for the 5 rolls of Fusion black HTPLA+ filament (3 Ionized Cobalt Black and 2 Carbon Rod Black) that I bought because these colors defects won't show up. I just hope that if my black rolls have the same issue, that the particles aren't large enough to cause a nozzle jam during the print. Maybe this is a one-off experience. I hope so for Fusion's sake because I want them to succeed. It's always nice to have another option for filament that is made in the USA. I really like the reusable spools! The refill roll fit perfectly over the spool that I printed.
